Krafton is preparing to roll out one of the biggest BGMI updates of the year with version 4.5. This update is set to deliver much more than routine bug fixes and gameplay tweaks, as it introduces an official collaboration with Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Instead of focusing only on themed character skins, the crossover adds new gameplay mechanics, exclusive locations, and limited-time events inspired by the iconic superhero.
Players can expect a refreshed experience with redesigned areas on the Erangel map, superhero-inspired movement abilities, cinematic moments, and a dedicated Spider-Man adventure in WOW Mode. From swinging between buildings to visiting famous locations from the Spider-Man universe, the collaboration aims to offer a completely new way to enjoy Battlegrounds Mobile India.
Launching alongside the theatrical release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the event will remain available for a limited period, giving players the opportunity to complete exclusive missions, unlock special rewards, and experience unique gameplay before it ends.
BGMI 4.5 Update Release Date
Krafton India has confirmed that the BGMI 4.5 update will begin rolling out on July 30 for both Android and iOS devices. As with previous major releases, the update is expected to reach Android users first, followed by iPhone users shortly afterward.
The Spider-Man-themed event will remain active until September 14, 2026, allowing players several weeks to explore the collaboration, participate in event-based activities, and collect limited-edition rewards before the crossover concludes.

New Modes and Gameplay Features
One of the biggest highlights of the update is the introduction of Skyline Plaza, a completely redesigned urban combat zone built across sections of Erangel. Familiar locations such as Gatka and Mansion have been transformed into a modern city environment featuring towering skyscrapers, rooftop pathways, and interconnected ziplines.
The new layout encourages vertical combat, allowing players to fight from elevated positions, discover alternate attack routes, and take advantage of high-rise buildings for tactical gameplay. This fresh environment is expected to make every encounter more strategic and fast-paced.
The Spider-Man collaboration also introduces several exclusive abilities and equipment. Peter Parker’s Gloves allow players to travel quickly by swinging across buildings with webs while also using Web Attacks to slow or temporarily restrain opponents during combat.
Another special item, Peter Parker’s Hoodie, unlocks enhanced mobility, including wall climbing and double jumping. These abilities make navigation much faster while opening up new opportunities during firefights.
To further enhance the superhero experience, players can activate Spider Sense, a feature designed to detect nearby enemies and improve situational awareness during matches. The update also includes themed locations and cinematic moments such as Peter Parker’s apartment, a rescue-themed photo zone, an exciting train rescue sequence, and a tribute area inspired by the Spider-Man universe.
The collaboration isn’t limited to Battle Royale mode. BGMI’s WOW Mode receives a dedicated Spider-Man adventure where players can freely explore the city, complete parkour challenges, finish exclusive missions, and earn event-specific rewards throughout the collaboration period.

How to Download the BGMI 4.5 Update
Once the update becomes available, Android users can download it from the Google Play Store, while iPhone users can install it through the Apple App Store. Simply search for Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and tap the Update button to install the latest version.
After updating the game, players may need to download additional in-game resource packs. These files include the latest game modes, maps, and collaboration content. Installing them will provide access to all the new features introduced with the BGMI 4.5 update, including the Spider-Man event, special missions, themed gameplay mechanics, and exclusive rewards.
