GTA 6 Ultimate Edition pre-orders and pricing in India

GTA 6 Ultimate Edition Pre-Orders Are Outpacing Standard Version Despite Higher Price

It is evident that people are filled with excitement and joy ahead of the release of the GTA 6; sheer eagerness with which they have been awaiting the game is clear from pre-order trends, with some fans even willing to pay a premium for the more expensive editions. Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has revealed that, despite the high price point, pre-orders for the ‘Ultimate Edition’ are particularly strong.

GTA 6 Ultimate Edition Gets Strong Pre-Orders

Speaking to CNBC, Zelnick said that early GTA 6 pre-orders are “skewing more to the premium edition.” However, he clarified that this does not necessarily mean the Ultimate Edition will eventually sell more copies than the Standard Edition.

The reason could simply be the type of players ordering the game this early. Hardcore GTA fans are more likely to pre-order immediately, and they may also be more comfortable paying extra for additional content.

In India, the GTA 6 Standard Edition costs Rs 5,999, while the Ultimate Edition is priced at Rs 7,499. Both editions include the main game, but the Ultimate version adds extra digital content and the Ultimate Edition Upgrade. Players who pre-order either version will also receive a one-month GTA+ subscription and the Vintage Vice City Pack.

Don’t Expect a GTA 6 Discount Soon

Zelnick was also asked whether players should wait for major shopping events such as Black Friday or Christmas to get GTA 6 at a cheaper price. While he could not speak for individual retailers, he highlighted GTA 5 as an example of Rockstar’s long-term pricing strategy. The game maintained its price for considerably longer than many other entertainment releases. This suggests that players hoping for a major GTA 6 discount shortly after launch may have to wait. Retailers can still offer their own promotions, but Take-Two does not control those prices.

GTA 6 Release Date and PC Version

GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar Games has not yet announced a PC release date. Based on Rockstar’s previous releases, the PC version could arrive sometime after the console launch, but there is currently no official confirmation.

Final Thoughts

Statistical data reveals an overwhelming demand for GTA 6, with the premium ‘Ultimate Edition’ proving particularly popular among early buyers; this suggests that Rockstar has a significant fan base willing to pay extra for additional content. However, the true picture regarding sales will only become clear after the game’s official launch.
