Following the events of Season 2, the crew’s journey is now heading towards one of the manga’s most pivotal storylines. Netflix has given the upcoming season a fascinating title: *One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta*. New episodes are scheduled for release in 2027—a date fans are eagerly awaiting—and according to reports, production work has already been completed.
One Piece Season 3 Release Date and Platform
Netflix has confirmed that One Piece Season 3 will premiere in 2027, although an exact release date has not been announced yet. The season will stream exclusively on Netflix. The third season has already completed production after filming in Cape Town, South Africa.
One Piece Season 3 Story: The Battle of Alabasta
Season 3 will bring the Alabasta arc into the live-action series. The story will focus heavily on Princess Vivi and her homeland, the desert kingdom of Alabasta. The kingdom is heading toward a civil war, with the criminal organisation Baroque Works secretly working to take control. Behind the operation is Sir Crocodile, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea and a major threat to the Straw Hat Pirates.
Luffy and his crew will have to help Vivi protect her kingdom while dealing with Crocodile and the growing conflict. Netflix has described the season as a story involving a rebellion, difficult choices and new enemies.

One Piece Season 3 Cast
The main Straw Hat crew will return, including:
- Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy
- Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro
- Emily Rudd as Nami
- Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp
- Taz Skylar as Sanji
Charithra Chandran will return as Princess Vivi, while Mikaela Hoover plays Tony Tony Chopper. Joe Manganiello is back as Mr. 0, with Lera Abova as Miss All Sunday and Sendhil Ramamurthy as King Nefertari Cobra. These four returning actors have also been promoted to series regulars for Season 3. The new cast includes Xolo Maridueña as Portgas D. Ace and Cole Escola as Bon Clay. Daisy Head will play Miss Doublefinger, while Awdo Awdo has been cast as Mr. 1.
Netflix has also announced four additional recurring characters: Emilio Sakraya as Koza, Omid Abtahi as Toto, Jamie Ward as Pell and Nabeel Khan as Chaka.

What to Expect From One Piece Season 3
The upcoming season is set to take the Straw Hats into the desert kingdom of Alabasta, bringing a much larger conflict than the crew has faced so far. With Vivi’s kingdom in danger, Crocodile and Baroque Works will become central threats. Fans can also expect the introduction of several important characters from the Alabasta storyline, including Ace, Bon Clay and other Baroque Works members.
